We support UNIQA departments in driving, steering and evaluating their risk and control landscape. In order to be compliant with regulatory requirements, we maintain the internal control system and report the Group’s risk exposure to various external and internal stakeholders.
INDEPENDENT AND INDISPENSABLE
Following the Solvency 2 requirements, we are part of a well-established concept applied across the insurance industry:
„THREE LINES OF DEFENSE CONCEPT“
- The first line of defense consists of the business units and their departments. They own, evaluate and take risks.
- The second line are risk managers. They provide guidance and support the first line in risk mitigating activities.
- The third line is comprised of internal audit that provides an independent assurance to the Group Management Board and external auditors.
As risk managers, we have an important risk mitigating function across the whole UNIQA Group.
